Social Bowls
If you are planning a visit to the Greens, a game of social bowls can be easily organised on the day*. Adults of all ages can play and it's children friendly.
$25 per adult and $10 per child^ includes all equipment, rinks for a duration of 2 hours and briefing on how to bowl to get you started.
Simply see our reception team upon arrival or at any time during your visit!

Bowls is inexpensive and fun for people of all ages. The basics are easily learnt in 15 minutes and you can find competing against your friends is a great way to start. The Club provides the mats, jacks and has a range of bowls for players starting out. Club coaches can provide lessons building up your skills up from the basics, to learning about strategy, etiquette and team games.
Cost of membership is just $50 for a social membership and $105 for full membership that includes participation in competitions. So why not roll up on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon chill out, enjoy a drink with friends and bowl with that amazing view!
History
North Sydney is a Club with a long history and proud achievements, being the 2nd oldest bowls club in NSW. The club was founded on 25th April 1888 in St Leonard's Park at North Sydney. Our membership numbers over 100 men and women and we field 6 sides in pennant competition. Our men and women both compete in the highest grade of their respective pennant competitions. Many of our bowlers go on to be selected to represent the local district sides.
Myths
"Bowls is only for old people".
Not so. Over 60% of our members work... and most of the top players are both male and female are under 30.
"Oh, I can't wear those hideous white uniforms".
On competition days we do wear uniforms, but styles and colours have moved with the times. Starting out, when practicing and social bowls, we just wear normal casual clothes that are comfortable to bowl in.
"I don't have the time to play all day".
Starting out, it's simply a matter of rolling up when you want. Bring your friends down and have fun!
